And just like that, October is done, and now it’s November. There are only two months left in 2023. I can’t believe that 2020 was nearly 4 years ago, I know I may sound like a broken record when I say how quickly time is passing. Still, it’s the truth.

October was a pretty busy month for me. I went out a lot on weekends with tons of errands to run. And then, of course, birthdays in our family (so many October babies), but even though I was technically busy, I still managed to do decent blogging with three posts! But I already wrote them beforehand and just needed to copy-paste them. I didn’t have that much time to format and make the post pretty, but in true tl;dr fashion, I think I still managed to deliver.

October faves & Highlights!

• Birthdays! Mom’s, sis-in-law, my bloggity blog, and of course me! So every week we ate out (that’s how close our birthdays are). 🎉 We chose Filipino food for mom, Korean for me, then sis-in-law, Japanese! I wasn’t super happy with BBQ Chicken’s menu, but I wanted to try ‘cos I saw it on Crash Landing on You—this is one of my all-time fave k-dramas, and I don’t watch that much. But all’s well that ends well; we were pretty full, and my little sister got me the carrot cake 🥕🎂 ‘cos I ended up really liking it!
• Blog’s cake day! 13 years have passed since I started this shenanigan! I wrote two posts about it, one being my luck charm and then a throwback to my previous blog designs! NGL, nostalgia game was pretty intense when I was editing the screenshots. 😅
• I went to check on something for my older sister; we were happy & all, talking and planning, but suddenly all plans were halted after some personal issues came up. So yeah, all the early plans for next year are postponed indefinitely. But if there’s one thing I learned from the pandemic, it’s that plans can be flexible and waiting isn’t that bad.
• Another personal thing that I’ve kept delaying, and now I finally did it! It’s work-in-progress, but I’m so impatient with the results, so I have to really discipline myself (which is really hard!) I am keeping the details hush-hush for now, at the risk of jinxing myself.
• Also, autumn anime line-up! I’m pretty happy with my current list! I’m still sad about Gojo sealing (how many years till we get to see him again?) but JJK animation is so top-notch. I’m also enjoying Kusuriya no Hitorigoto and Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyoudai! So far, I have no impulse to drop anything, even Ojou to Banken-kun to ‘cos it’s kinda ok to watch still (questionable ML withstanding).

November Agenda

• The holidays are now officially on blast! 🎅🏻☃️🎁❄ We went shopping for a new tree last week, but the rest of the decorations are still in my cart, and I have to check them out. 😭 💸 But it’s still early November so I might put up the decoration later next week.
• I might prepare my yearly specials this month! Just in case December is a busy month with holidays and all so might as well go back—temporarily—to scheduling so that I don’t break the streak, some of these specials have been my blog tradition since 2012.
• I have a personal project (no, it does not relate to hobbies or fandom; it is very very personal) and I want to spend my time working on it. I’ve been wanting to do this ever since, but time just won’t permit it. Perhaps if I truly set my mind, I can force myself to do it, or another year will pass me by again. *more passion, more footwork, more energy*
