Watchlist

I only have two more series that I haven’t seen yet (time stamp: 10/10/2023), so I might as well do this now (I have a few line-ups for this month, with mine and the blog’s cake day!). I have high hopes for this season; summer was super lackluster. I only watched three series faithfully (with JJK still ongoing). I tried a bunch, but none of them stuck to me; even Zom:100, which I had so many expectations for, didn’t really live up to the hype!

Fall Anime 2023 List

Out of the fall/autumn series below, only two are the only ones I didn’t read or at least tried the manga, with one being an anime original.

  • Dr. Stone: New World Part 2 – I’m going blind now ‘cos I didn’t really continue the manga after last season’s events. So as Anton Ego from Ratatouille says, “surprise me!”
  • Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 – this is a spillover from the summer list, and man, MAPPA gave everything, & we’re early in the arc! So sad that it will take years to see Gojo again, but I’ll take the crumbs any day, MAPPA.
  • Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri – one of the series I didn’t read the manga, but I’m a huge KHR fan, so this is an obvious course of action. Gawd, Amano-sensei does love Hibari; Ron is evidently a Hibari variety! Anyway, this is giving Conan/Balance Unlimited vibes.
  • Kusuriya no Hitorigoto – it’s not streaming yet, but I do remember, oh too well, the first part of the story, ‘cos I was super obsessed with it! I can’t wait to watch!
  • Ojou to Banken-kun – I honestly didn’t like the manga; I found the ML iffy more than the age gap. But I ended up watching it while coding; it’s good background noise. 😜
  • Overtake! – I used to watch this series before called Capeta (I don’t remember if I finished watching it or not), but I do remember enjoying it. I have a handful of racing anime, so I thought I might as well. Good premiere; nothing mind-blowing, though (Capeta was better).
  • Spy x Family – of course, why wouldn’t I miss this? I’m excited to see Yor’s arc here! It’s going to be good!
  • Yuzuki-san Chi no Yonkyoudai. – such a huge fan of heartwarming family slice-of-life dramas, & this is just a feel-good series! I watched it via Ani-One, so I wasn’t aware of the TL brouhaha. I said this on Twitter: SEA region’s TL is different & very neutral due to the wide range of viewers. Filipino English is different from, let’s say, Singapore’s English. Getting back, I loved the first episode; it was so warm! I love the brothers’ dynamic.
