Last year I kind of missed my blog anniversary so I made this lackluster post in an attempt to “celebrate” at least. So, for this year, I’m doing not only one but TWO posts to pay homage to my blog’s birthday! I still can’t believe that I’m still merrily typing my thoughts (now in reckless abandon) for twelve years already! That’s huge! And for this year, I’m looking back all these things I’ve made up for my blog! I came up with so many ideas to spice things up here—and a lot too came and went but I’m still happy that I’m still here and blogging even though evidently, people has moved on to videos and such. But idk, blogging is just something perfectly fits to my personality; so here I am, more than a decade, and still keeping her blog!

So here are some names, labels, terms—you called it! that had become, and some are still part of my blogging journey!

1. Aeropapers

My book blog phase! I was semi-active in the book community & I loved all the discussions and online friends I made because of it. While majority, if not all, has moved on from book blogging or blogging all together, this phase however was undeniably my most active of all incarnations!

2. Rainyink

Interest shifted big time so I’d decided to merge my short-lived, underground blog called Kyaa with Aeropapers thus Rainyink was born. It had severe identity crisis which led to rebranding for the third time!

3. Bookish Verbosity

Where I talked about books, reading and everything in between! My proud op-ed feature.

4. Hot of the Press

I talked the books I will read, I had read, and books that I acquired. Oh, the fun times of being a bookworm!

5. On the Spotlight!

Manga and webtoon special shoutout in TL;DR form! Trivia: my most popular posts, they are still earning numbers much to my surprise!

6. What’s on My Reading List

What I read in a month recap (mostly are manga and webtoons) with bite-sized description & reviews.

7. Project Sixty-Two

Oh gawd, I still can’t believe I was able to pull this off. Imagine 62 days countdown with weekly special & unique post! My intense thirst passion for Aaron Warner made me do it!

8. Mid-year checkup

In which I proudly wrote how I failed my yearly resolutions. I stopped last year because it demotivated me instead!

9. Conversations with my Sister!

The shortest feature I ever came up with—iirc it was just one post? But I was super ambitious, it was akin to a podcast but in written form with my sister: ‘cos we love discussing our similar interest (yes, even now)

9. Wrap-ups & Month in a Nutshell!

This was honestly super tiring to do! It was long asf— 4 sections? and I had to prepare the post at least 3-5 days before posting! Since I gave up the tl;dr I thought of giving it up as well; although I kinda miss that monthly highlight! Will try to come up with something similar but short and sweet! Next time?

10. #throwback

I still do this but instead of just recap, I’ve decided to make it more like yearly reflection, again bite-sized version! I am still doing this btw!

11. Review

Bulk of my blog posts in its early years were mostly just book reviews. If you browse my archives by month, you will notice how diligent I was. Oh the young bibliophile me!

And finally—

12. FAIERY!

I can’t believe it’s been five years since my silent rebrand! Although technically I changed the name (sort of) but gosh, I love this very short, whimsical name!
