Been doing some binge-watching for the past couple of months (part of my nightly routine—in an effort to stay away from my phone for few hours a day; I think I said this before I am not fond of watching on phone except for quick YouTube vids).

I did quick (it ain’t really bite-sized lol) recap of my Katekyo Hitman Reborn (家庭教師ヒットマンREBORN!) marathon the other month, just go here for more!

• I finished Extraordinary Attorney Woo (이상한 변호사 우영우), really liked the beginning—the first three episodes but the interest kind of fizzled out. This perhaps a very unpopular opinion but I’m not a fan of the romance. I wish they forego the romance and focus on the slice-of-life/law drama aspect which I found far more engaging. The love story felt forced and unneeded. The male lead was for me devoid of character & not just because he was kind (I love compassionate characters mind you!) but he was there, an embellishment to Atty. Woo’s life. I actually more interested with her colleagues than him that’s how much he bored me! Kinda sad ‘cos it started really strong!
• I also binge watched all the available episodes of Masterchef Season 12 (Back to Win). I really don’t like that they didn’t have pressure test anymore right after team challenge in this edition too and they were only doing one cooking challenge per episode (which I think is due to budget). But what I found more engaging this season are contenders! They are former contestants, yes ALL-STAR! I’m so sad that Natasha (from my fave season) didn’t even make it past audition! (why did they have to match all runner ups??). Fred and Bowen are fave too but they got booted out! Even Shanika and Brandi! Oh well, I hope Dara wins this time!
• Finally watched the entire Black Clover (ブラッククローバー) and I must say the last few episodes were really good! At least the animation improved as it went on. I hated that it looked so clumsy maybe I was getting used to seasoned anime with top-notch animation and just mediocrity doesn’t cut it? But overall it was an amazing! And gosh, that vice-captain of Black Bulls just oozes of amazingness! Wanna know more about him but I ain’t ready to tackle the behemoth that is the manga! Also that backstory of Asta’s mom. Maybe when it’s all over?
• Since we renewed our iqiyi subscription (because of Black Clover) I also ended up doing quick Ouran High School Host Club (桜蘭高校ホスト部) marathon right after I finished BC. (whispers: I haven’t seen this show officially lol) and Bones animation here still so beautiful even though it has been more than decade!) I wish it’ll have season 2 since many shows are doing reboot (like Fruits Basket) and I think this show worth another cour!
