New year, and new season! I actually enjoyed last year’s fall line-up, so I’m hoping these new series will give me an equal amount of entertainment as the last season did. I have two most anticipated series here too, so that really puts the excitement and anticipation up a notch! Let’s get this done!

• Ao no Hako (Blue Box)
  Genres: Romance, Sports, School, Slice of Life
  Left over from autumn. I’m a little conflicted about whether I should continue every time I watch it. Sometimes it grabs my attention, and other times I feel bored. But here I am, still watching it. I think it’s too late to even stop, haha!
• Douse, Koishite Shimaunda.
  Genres: Romance, Shoujo, School
  Another shoujo series? I know, I know—I’ve pretty much graduated from this demographic. I’m more keen on reading romance with adult characters (youngish ones, like university students at least). Honestly, high school settings are starting to feel more and more unrelatable as I grow older. But maybe this one’s different? Again, I’ll try and see from there!
• Dr. Stone: Science Future
  Genres: Sci-Fi, Adventure, Action
  Honestly, I kinda gave up last season, but sometimes I feel compelled to continue since I already started it anyway.
• Honey Lemon Soda
  Genres: Romance, Shoujo, School, Comedy
  I tried the manga before, but it’s one of those saccharine bubblegum shoujo series that may be too youthful for my aging self. But let’s see how the anime turns out, and I’ll go from there!
• Kusuriya no Hitorigoto 2nd Season
  Genres: Mystery, Historical, Drama, Romance
  One of the series I’m looking forward to, not just this season but this year! I super enjoyed the first season! And as a super shipper of MaoMao and Jinshi—more of them and the politically charged plot, the merrier! Can’t wait for more!
• Medalist
  Genres: Sports, Drama, Slice of Life
  My sister mentioned it, and I got curious. I’m all for shoujo sports-themed anime. Maybe this will be the breath of fresh air I need.
• Sakamoto Days
  Genres: Action, Comedy, Shounen
  I read this last year and totally enjoyed it. Not gonna lie, I wasn’t super keen on the anime studios, but I haven’t seen it yet (as of writing this post). Still, I’m optimistic. It might not reach Jujutsu Kaisen-level production (and I tell you, this series deserves that kind of treatment), but man, this series is packed with awesome, cool characters! I’m also eyeing the final boss! Like, damn hottie!
• Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon 2nd Season (My Happy Marriage Season 2)
  Genres: Romance, Drama, Supernatural, Historical
  Sis and I were talking about how we kinda accepted the finale of the first season and weren’t expecting a new season. But here we are. Might as well.

And there you have it! My winter anime line-up. Again, I hope it’s a blast like last season and a good salvo for 2025!
