It’s kinda lackluster season for me. I was twice busy last year, but I still managed to catch up with my list, but gawd, now that I’ve finally carved out time to watch, I find myself lacking the motivation to dive back into these shows! Mind you, I’m not totally closing the door; I might pick them up someday! I have a few favorites that I watched off-season, like Run with the Wind, WotaKoi, and Arslan so we will never know!

I did try a few series, watched the first episode, went into vacation mode, got home and then bam, laziness took over! So I’m putting them on-hold (for now, at least):Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga, Mr. Villain’s Day Off, The Demon Prince of Momochi House, and Solo Leveling.

Here are the titles I’m watching this season:

• A Sign of Affection — Oh dear, I’m so happy how with how stunning the animation is! Totally well-deserved! It’s been ages since we’ve had a romance, or should I say shoujo series, treated with such exceptional anime quality. We’ve been scraping by on crumbs for years, so a full-course meal?! Yes please! I can see how well taken care of it is. Every beautiful detail just make me go aw~ 🥰 I just fall in love with every episode because of how lovely this is! As you can tell, I’m getting all emotional; that’s how much this anime means to me. It’s just sooo good!
• Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp — With Raeliana as predecessor, you can’t totally blame me if I I had super low expectations, but you know what? It’s kinda decent. And the animation is solid—not YubiRen quality, but it was pretty okay-ish! Coming from Raeliana’s super stiff animation (or barely there animation) to actually seeing movements??!! I’m pleasantly surprised! The character design did take a bit of getting used to, but I’m rolling with it. Like I mentioned, it could be worse, but overall, it’s a pretty decent adaptation.
• The Apothecary Diaries — Just fall/autumn leftover. I liked the first opening song better, and sometimes the animation is a little sluggish, but oh man, I love the story, and it’s above average animation, so it’s still acceptable! I can’t wait for more MaoMao and Jinshi content! Yes, yes, I’m still loving this OTP girlie. I guess I never move on from this mindset!
