What kinds are my favorite blogs to follow?? Here I am now telling!
I admit the one major aspect that leaves a quick impression on me is the blog’s design (a designer’s prerogative, I think). A good design blog makes me want to go “ooooh!” with heart eyes. But that first impression will wear off, and eventually it won’t be the one that sticks; it’s still the content that will make me subscribe for the long haul.
When I was still a book blogger, 90% of the blogs I followed were book blogs. But as I slowly and almost completely left the book reviewing community, I also ended up following every kind of blog and niche. And it didn’t help that 90% of those blogs went *poof* anyway. They left the blogosphere altogether, so I took it as a sign to do some metaphorical spring cleaning. And I thought it was not a good idea to limit my blog subscriptions to what my blog is or its topics. Limiting what “I” also do is not a really good decision. So I spread my wings and followed blogs that interest me!
I have every kind of favorite blog right now. I follow a few personal blogs because there’s something so interesting to read about people’s everyday lives. It doesn’t have to be luxurious. Even a dog’s day out is something really uplifting to read. I also got charmed by, guess what? No takers? Alright! Journal blogs!! I found amazing stuff, and they make me wanna go and finish mine. I’m thinking of sharing mine by the end of the year. But before that all happens, I need to make it. I also love following DIY and home improvement blogs. I plan to make an office space renovation someday (you know, money is tight), so I’ve been checking out some places on the web for some much-needed inspiration.
Of course, my list wouldn’t be complete without my top passions! Web Design & Development is up there, along with my anime/manga news. Although a chunk of the information I got for the latter came from Twitter, I still follow anime and manga-related blogs. Anime, in particular ones that review episodes weekly, instead of watching it (which I can totally say not my priority as of the moment) I ended up just reading them to save time.
But Mitchii, why aren’t you telling us? Give us the deets! Share those blogs with us! Sorry, fellas, I’m saving that post for another day. Well, at least you have an idea of what my RSS reader looks like. It’s chaotically everywhere.
