Tuesday is for top ten list! Here’s mine!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they will post a new Top Ten list  that bloggers will answer.

The topic for this week is: August 20: Top Ten Things That Make Your Life As A Reader/Book Blogger Easier (maybe it’s Goodreads or your library or different resourcers etc. etc.)

Book Blogging should be fun and easy. Image © http://weheartit.com/haneee

It’s so weird for me to feel like I’m still just starting out when truthfully I’m blogging for almost three years now. Book blogging is an awesome, awesome hobby and I wanted to remain it that way. But blogging is not easy whether you are one of those established book bloggers or just a small one like me. So these are tools I’ve used that make my blogging life a whole lot easier.

Goodreads. This is where I learn all the information about the books. From book covers, summary, and releases. All in one site. This is also where I find book gems. To be perfectly honest I wouldn’t have known half of the books I read if it weren’t for this site. I owe it that to Goodreads.

WordPress. This is my blogging tool from the very beginning. I’ve never tried anything else so I don’t have anything to compare it with. But based on my experience it is so easy to use (so why bother trying other publishing platforms). And well, I can customize/design my blog to my heart’s desire. And the plugins!! So many to choose from. 😉

Edelweiss & Netgalley. As an International blogger we have limited access to ARCs or galleys. Thank to these sites I can also read advance copies.

E-reader. Once again ebooks are a whole lot accessible than printed copies. And how can I read my ARCs and eventually review them without a way to read them. So yeah, thank goodness for e-readers.

Microsoft Office®. I first do things offline, from typing drafts to other…things. I know this OS like the back of my hand. I used Mac before and it drove me insane, haha.

Curata. Like I told you before I don’t use feedly or bloglovin to read the blogs I follow. I use Curata and if you don’t like the interface of those RSS readers I suggest trying Curata. You won’t regret it.

Adobe Photoshop®. For my graphics cos I’m huge advocate of customization! 😉

Social Media (Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr). They help me spread the word.

Google. Because it knows what I need to know (from HTML, book info etc…)

Other Bloggers. I learn a lot from them, I still consider myself neophyte when it comes to blogging and they offer great tips and advice.

Addendum:  There is a massive flooding here in my country due to monsoon and typhoon; I hope you will include the victims of the calamity in your prayers. Be safe everyone! (http://ph.news.yahoo.com/how-to-help–maring–victims-025829828.html)
