Tuesday is for top ten list! Here’s mine!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they will post a new Top Ten list  that bloggers will answer.

The topic for this week is: April 9: Top Ten Favorite Books I Read Before I Was A Blogger

Hmm, I think I eventually jumped in the blogging craze when I realized that I’m spending more and more time with it. Writing my opinion/reaction came naturally. But these books are the ones that sealed the deal:

1. Little Lord Fauntleroy – Frances Hodgson Burnett. This is probably my favorite classic book of all time. It’s not even a romance book, I don’t know why but Cedric’s kindness tugs my heart.
2. Twilight – Stephanie Meyer. I owe this book. A lot. It was the very first young adult book I have ever read. This is the series that made reconsider reading as an entertaining hobby.
3. Hunger Games – Suzanne Collins. I mean, do I have to explain it? This book is awesome.
4. ABNKKBSNPLAKo?! –  Bob Ong. This book is made of crack. It’s hilarious in a very smart way. Mabuhay ang mga matiyagang Filipino writers.
5. Bakit Baligtad Magbasa ng Libro ang mga Pilipino? – Bob Ong. Another from Bob Ong. Smart but real.
6. Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes – Eleanor Coerr. Very touching short story. It made me cry. :’(
7. The Secret Garden – Frances Hodgson Burnett. I was inspired to read this after watching the Japanese cartoon based on this novel. I really wished that vacant lot was really a secret garden…:P
8. If I Have a Wicked Stepmother, Where’s My Prince? – Melissa Cantor. Cinderella retelling. I have reviewed this book, but when I read this I wasn’t blogger then. This is first time branching it young adult contemporary.
9. Deadly Little Secret – Laurie Faria Stolarz. Loved the first two book, but the next are meh…
10.  Perfect Chemistry – Simone Elkeles. Sexiest YA book I have ever read. Perfect balance of romance, humor and drama. What’s not to like? And Alex is to drool for. 😉
