I didn’t know why I still read this series when I didn’t really like the first one. But this is one of those books that you’re curious to know what happen. But I’m not all hyped or whatever to know what’s gonna happen, mind you. I just read it for the perks of it. Just wanted to know, is all. And, because curiosity always gets the better of me. While I still find the story a bit ‘meh’ on the side. It wasn’t an awful read. So I guess it’s ok.

When Bryn saved the children who were turned by a rogue werewolf into wolves she was given a very big responsibility. She became the alpha of this new pack, the Cedar Ridge Pack. She is not under Callum’s safety anymore, she have a task to protect these children. So when a stray werewolf named Lucas asked for Bryn’s help she couldn’t refuse him. But Lucas didn’t need just a shelter or anew pack, he brought danger to Bryn’s pack. The other pack led by Shay wanted him back. And not only are them who are interested on him, a group of humans – psychics, also after him. And now they are also their target. With these problem in hand, Bryn’s responsibility as an alpha will now be tested.

I really didn’t have anything to say about the first book. So that’s the reason why I opted not to post anything about it (way to evade the word ‘review’ lol). It was overall, ok. It wasn’t remarkable but good enough to continue the series. Though I kinda find the events in the book dragging. Maybe because I wasn’t that much interested with the story. But like I said above, I was curious, and that always win in me. Besides, I like wolf story, I have few favorites in my list but sadly… this isn’t one of them. I don’t know exactly why it wasn’t included. I can’t quite put my finger on it. In fact, it wasn’t terrible but it was too… ok? I just… don’t know.

Bryn is an ok character; I just didn’t like her story. She’s strong, feisty and kinda likeable but it still didn’t left a big impression on me. I really don’t know what’s gotten into me why I still read it. Since nothing impress me. Characters are on the ok side. The romance? Wait, what romance? Well it doesn’t have that much. There’s a little bit (like molecule – atom size) of that, but it isn’t the focal point (nor the side, lol). So yeah, sorry for a vague post. I just don’t know what to say anymore.
If there’s still a third book. I might read it. But for now, all I can give is two stars, if I’m being honest 1.5. But it’s still ok, so yeah, 2 it is.
