Title: The Titan’s Curse
Author: Rick Riordan
Series: (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #3)
Pages: 304

Definitely, I like the third book better than the second one (and maybe even the first). There’s a lot of good stuff in here, some small background about the Titan’s, and a lot of more elements added that will stir up the plot in a much higher level. I’m so excited to read the final book already. As I was saying, here there are more gods and goddesses appearances and I thought I already seen enough after I read about Ares, LOL.

So Grover found two demigods, siblings, but in their attempt to rescue them, Annabeth was captured, Artemis too. So the hunters decided to help their goddess. But the oracle said only five can come, and unfortunately for Percy, he is not included in their five member rescue team (Zoe Nightshade, Bianca, Thalia, Grover, and the other girl that I forgot… ok, she was Phoebe). And of course, who can’t stop Percy from saving her, so he sneaked out and followed them – though technically they are still five with the other girl left behind due to some prank. But he was eventually found out. And they decided to let him tagged along. They were told that Annabeth and Artemis were in the west, which was in California. In their adventure, Percy learned about Zoe’s history, and regrettably unable to save Bianca, in the process breaking his promise to Nico. They managed to go the lair where Artemis have been held, Percy and the others saved Annabeth, and also brought Atlas back to his burden of carrying the heavens.

Ok, so I was really racking my brains on how I’ll be able to review the rest of the series without sounding redundant. I’ll probably going to say it was well written, humorous, etc, etc – which I already said before, so I decided to just highlight the moments I like in the books.

I love Apollo, among the gods he is probably my favorite. Me and Percy have the same reaction when Apollo arrived on his slick car – Maserati Sypder. Gosh, I love that car, I don’t know how to drive but I appreciate a fine looking car. Anyways, he is probably the most interesting gods (well, I do love Ares too). I love his fascination with Haiku, and well, I just love how he was presented in the book (and he is a teenager (as his chosen form though), what else can I say, HE IS SO DAMN COOL).

I finally met Rachel Elizabeth Dare and from her brief encounter with Percy, I’m starting to like her. Potential love interest (might be, though we actually know who he will end up with – much to my dismay – I’ll explain later).

I also like Blackjack, I was really laughing when he called Mr. D, the wine dude (lol, it was Nico first but, love that scene, so funny). It was the cover the book, haha. Also my fave cover – because it hit home perfectly.

Nico is one of my new fave characters. It’s a plus that he is Hades’ kid. I also like how he is clueless in the beginning then rapidly mature as the story progress. And the mytomagic, lol, Poor Mr. D. has the lowest power attack (it really reminds me of Yu-gi-oh!).

Overall, awesome book!
