We always get excited to read books. But there are books that are far too precious and far too excited to read. These books are part of our All Time Favorites. Books that we nail-bitingly waiting to be released. If I’m fortunate enough to get an ARC then hooray but in my unfortunately experience, the ARC is always not available—at least not available to me. So I need to wait, snoop around to the lucky people who got it (the author as the main target). Stalk their blogs, or GR profile for any breadcrumb-like details about it. Then stalk some more. It’s hard to wait when you know someone out there has it, while you are impatiently waiting on the sidelines.  Sometimes you feel the world is against you because someone out there had read it, maybe currently reading, or about to read it, and then there you are in the dark corner scribbling the number of days left on your wall anxiously waiting. Life is very unfair. *weeps*

But sometimes that there are people who are gracious enough to share, albeit vague details. Beggers can’t be chooser.  Ah, a sad fact of life. But then you remember that if there’s a will there’s a way so you’re thinking of asking that person. But because of your timid personality that little plan of yours flew right out the window.  So you’re back to square one, cutesy pleading for spoilers.

But even with these rush of emotions like jealousy, frustrations and excitement, we still need to pacify ourselves that soon enough (although still not enough) it will be released. You’ll get to read it. And you’ll get the answer that you’re been dying to know. And sometimes the wait is worth it. Yes, just sometimes because there were times that wait is wasted effort and you felt numbed having all these hard to contain emotions slipped out of your system for nothing. As if you were excited over nothing. But when the story went according to what you envisioned or better exceed it, it is the most satisfying feeling ever. Then you’ll be high for days unable to read new books because you got the literature’s equivalent of a hangover.  But it’s the best hangover EVER. The year, months, weeks, days, minutes, seconds waiting? It’s worth it!
