Raves. Rants. Squee. # 1
Ok, since I’m still on reading mode (no reviews up, it’s weird) here are some interesting tidbits I found out:
No more Galley Grab: The news is floating around the twitter-sphere (I don’t know if there’s an official announcement somewhere). Simon & Schuster is halting the program, someone broke the news on BEA (from people who’ve heard it). And I think I cried buckets of tears. I prefer this one over netgalley and edelweiss (I rarely check this site, and I’m scared to request from the latter to be honest). You know, no rejections. Plus, the titles they put up are interesting. I’m gonna miss it so bad. But one must move on. Heard that they’ll still offer galleys via netgalley/edleweiss.
Adios. You’ll be truly missed.
Shatter Me Cover Ovehaul: I’m uncertain. I do like it, it is visually appealing. And I’m glad that they slowly shunning away from ‘girl in pretty dress’ concept when it comes to YA covers. I’m not sure but I read somewhere that the succeeding books will have the same theme (don’t quote me on that one. I AM NOT SURE). If that’s the case, I hope it is still the same size as the first one (mine is international edition, paperback) . Here’s hoping.
The Golden Popcorn: The Hunger Games bagged four popcorns. I’m truly happy. Sad that it didn’t win the most important award (movie of the year). But winning four?! FOUR?! Awesome! You could watch the entire show here (it’s working on me and I’m outside US)
Speaking of which, I heard of Finnick casting rumors. Why am I happy that Lucas Till is on the list? I have no idea. I kinda like the rumors so far (except for Rob Pat part). Can’t wait for official cast news.
Now back to reading Dreamless. 😀
