Do you like manga? Me too, check out my recommendation here:

Hi, welcome to Oh Genki! a regular feature here in my blog. Aside from reading western books, I also happen to be a big manga (&anime) fan. Manga (コミック) is a Japanese word for comics. There are thousands of manga out there in every genre. So here I’m putting some spotlight to those that are worth plugging.

Alternative Name: ワンパンマン; One Punch Man;
Genre(s): Action, Comedy, Seinen, Supernatural
Author(s): One(Story) & Yusuke Murata (Illustration)
Original run: July 3, 2009 – ongoing
Story:  ★ ★ ★ ★
Art: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Summary: Follows the life of an average hero who manages to win all battles with only one punch. This ability seems to frustrate him as he no longer feels the thrill and adrenaline of fighting a tough battle, which leads to him questioning his past desire of being strong.After all what’s so good about having an overwhelming power?

Impression: I started reading One-Punch Man because I was massively curious when my brother’s friend told me of its unusual character design. He described the art like a doodle…well, only the main character. But upon checking it myself I was stunned that the art is very familiar to me. Lo and behold the art was done by none other than the half of the genius duo behind Eyeshield 21: Yusuke Murata (村田 雄介)

I’m only just starting and there are 32 chapters so far. And all I can say is that I’m really, really enjoying it. Funny & quite original!
