November ’23 Log: that month before the holidays!
I blinked, and November is now over. I intentionally didn’t blog because I thought I needed some breather; moreover, I posted plenty last October, and I’m expecting more posts for December, ‘cos it’s time for my yearly feature! 🎉
In addition, I ran plenty of errands last month, so the sheer exhaustion the weekdays brought, catching up on my errands, then added my extreme laziness; these were honest drawback to my blogging productivity! I know this seems like an excuse, but to be honest, life has been busy. I did want to post something, but when I sat down to write on my computer, I lost inspiration! So I’ve decided to just blog whenever I feel inspired to do so.
Well, except for monthly recaps! I don’t know why; I just want to do this. I’m somewhat compelled to do it! Once I realized the month was ending, I knew I had to ponder what happened the entire month, so yeah, let’s see what happened last November!
November faves & highlights!
- So yeah, life breezed through the days that I was still processing what went through the month. While weekdays are for work, weekends are for catching up; so I ended up catching up on personal things that I wasn’t able to do on weekdays. When I tried to blog on weekend nights, I just couldn’t handle the exhaustion, which also left me uninspired. I really hope that my excitement for the holiday break isn’t a self-jinx. *hides*
- I did super early Christmas shopping! Last year I had a major problem with online shopping delays! It took weeks, and I live in the metro, so that was totally unacceptable. I ended up buying stuff personally because of the delay. Even some of those orders even arrived *AFTER* I came from my trip to Osaka! 😞 It was complete chaos! So I decided not to join the frenzy of last-minute shopping and did mine early. At least that’s one off my list! It also dawned on me that I rarely shop online this year, maybe because retail stores and offices are back in full swing! There’s really satisfaction in seeing and touching it personally before buying! I still shop online for things that are harder to find in person.
- I was really busy with work last month; we were working on something, er, complicated? And even though I’m not really a back-end developer, I did my absolute best to make it work, though I ended up asking for my supervisor’s help, but he said I was close; he just refined my code! I’m still really pleased with myself for being able to whip that code, even though, in the end, I wasn’t able to make it work! I didn’t have formal education in computer or programming (I’m a psychology and education major btw). The task was hard, but I learned something new! Now I’m back to what I do best, designing!
December Agenda!
- I said more posts for December! Yes, that’s right, more posts! It’s the last month of the year, which means it’s time to recap my entertainment and life in general. I was sitting down, looking at my gigantic list this year! Gawd, I read so much! I also have a nice watch list, too! I’m happy with how productive I am when it comes to reading—as a true escapist that I am!
- While I did some early shopping, I still have some things to buy on my list! But those are really small things that I can buy at the mall, so I wasn’t in a hurry (I was also waiting for the salary to come in; my November budget couldn’t handle the expenses 🫠).
- Overall, I’m excited for the holiday break. I want to catch up on my personal projects and some other things! I really, really want to start them; maybe the holidays won’t make me lazy and will instead spark my creativity!
Happy holidays! Let’s all claim an amazing December, everyone! 🎉🌟🎁🎄
