We’re about to enter the last month of the year, y’all! 2020 feels surreal!  Well, before we get all excited for the upcoming break (or panic as the new decade comes closer, or it’s just me?) I’m gonna talk about my November. So…um, November was pretty long? There were so many things happened and it felt like the month went on longer than it was. Then I received a bad news which made me all grumpier (that prompted me to write this!!) but the month wasn’t that bad. I mean overall it isn’t! I’ve learned something, I took this little speed bump a chance to reassess things. (Ah, Taylor Swift always come to the rescue when I’m in need of cool post title—Cruel Summer my fave track y’all!)

So now I’m just excited for the upcoming holidays! I also want to do some stuff on my plan book and maybe finish all my blogging content for my annual year-end specials. And y’all I’m really excited. Oh, speaking of blog here’s the blogging behind the scene:

Blogging in November: The magic number is two but the ultimate mood is laziness. Sorry self!

I think I have accepted that by third week rolls in I become totally lazy so I usually postponed posting my third posts. Yep, my bad. But also with what happened IRL, I also made an impromptu post making me pushed my original posts for later. But two posts per month isn’t that bad. I used to do that back when I was still blogging whenever but at least I strictly follow a scehdule now; mood withstanding!

Reading in November: I have manga, I have webtoons! And yes, I also have books in my list!

GR Challenge unlocked & Completed!

It may look like the list isn’t that long but I still think it was a successful reading month! I’ve read ✔ new manga ✔ of course webtoons and drumroll please *ta-dan!* I finished two books ✔—meaning  I’m done with my goodreads challenge and I have one month to spare! Hooray!! *pats self on the back* So I think I did good for November, reading wise (maybe I was trying to distract myself from IRL stuff + internet woes) still, something came out good!

  1. Ellin’s Solhwa (from Lezhin…can’t find the KR version??) – I’m so in love with this series I’m gonna cry how beautiful this series even with only less than 20 chapters! Guys, my thirst for my ship is realz! I usually hated isekai/transmigration genre but this one, the chemistry between the advisor and the concubine Solhwa (the heroine) is just palpable! I’m in love guys!
  2. Defy Me (by Tahereh Mafi)Be careful what you wish for” fits exactly to my narrative. I think it was better left as trilogy as this extension offered nothing but confusion. It tried so hard to connect things from original plot and there were handful of details that you can play it with without making it obvious that there was really nothing to make a new story out of it. And you know what, yeah it was THAT obvious! The “we were connected when were still young, therefore it was fate” drama was just too unnatural. It felt like stranger.
  3. 가타부타타 | Gatabutata – My weakness is college romance webtoons and this is what it is. It’s about second chances of middle school lovers who met in college. And not only they’re in the same department, they’re neighbors too!
  4. | Sa-chan, Boku wa – ugh, horrible series. I should have stopped at first chapter. My senses were tingling warning me but I ignored it and it made me so upset. The premise is about cheating and yuck, it’s trying to be deep controversial in a very sloppy way. Please don’t read it! I beg of you!
  5. Spin the Dawn (by Elizabeth Lim)There was certainly a Project Runway there…maybe like 30%? And the Mulan, yeah there was too…2%? She sneaked in as a guy on behalf of her ailing father/brother although Mulan done it better—with conviction! This wasn’t a bad read though. I remembered the characters, pretty much everyone. I also liked that there wasn’t unnecessary info dumping, it was show more less tell which I appreciated. But Asian inspired wasn’t all that evident. It could be any continent and it wouldn’t matter. The romance leaves a lot to be desired.
  6. | Yubisaki to Renren – I’ve read this few months ago, I think but I finally caught up with latest chapter so here we go. It’s from the the author of and . She changed publisher and this is more like josei with college students as the protagonists. Also the heroine is deaf, and the guy’s a traveler who is interested in exploring and languages. It’s light but very interesting.

Life in November: Rejections, sour graping and more adulting hence made me more moody. But all’s end that ends well!

Vibin’ in lazy mood!
  • I mentioned earlier about that IRL thing but it didn’t pan out. Well, not yet—that’s how I interpreted it at least. I wrote this lengthy post about it but in tl;dr fashion: things don’t always go what you want but the best way is to get up, make new plans, and work on it. Things don’t stop because you do, so like everything else I have to move, move, move!
  • I did some adulting stuff (well, because of some inconvenience) Ah, life as an adult is pretty hard but you just have to smell the coffee and brace it (in my case tea, ‘cos I don’t drink coffee) but like my other plan ⬆️ it didn’t push through as I expected but something came out nice, still! I’m just gonna stay positive!
  • I’m done with the planning! I’m hoping that I’ll be able to do it this upcoming break.

Looking forward to December! Almost there! Ending the decade with my annual specials bonanza! And projects to do!

Christmas is fast approaching!
  • December means my yearly special posts. I’ve been doing it since 2012! And yeah, by next year I’m counting the months to my 10th year anniversary bash! Gosh, been doing this for so long! *coughs* I got carried away (but what’s new?) anyhoo, I’m not done with my yearly posts but I’m trying to schedule all of the stuff soon except my ultimate throwback (which I plan to start writing before the year ends). But gah! like I said 2020 sounds surreal! Saying hello to the new decade in a few weeks, wow!
  • Yeah, so upcoming break. I want to work on my projects. The one I’m doing first is only a semi-revamp sort of work. So that’s what I want to really start (and finish ). Also, one of my plans is to redesign this blog but that has a pretty far target date. More details about my goals and stuff and my yearly goals, challenges, and resolution discussion for next year in my special post slated for next month! Stay tuned! Let’s vibe positively, self (and everyone!)
  • I’ve already did like half of my Christmas presents (innovation thy name is online shopping ) and I have half to do. I really want to do my shopping super early because I hate the holiday rush (the crowd… *goosebumps*). Ah, holidays are awesome but expensive LOL. Still, can’t wait for it!
