Is blogging a life changing experience?
Life experience in the form of drastic changes? Not really, but in many ways I learned (and am still learning) so much from blogging that I think sticking with it and writing my thoughts whenever an idea sparks is already a habit that is very hard to break! I’m absolutely thankful that I chanced upon this hobby, which still makes me happy in many ways I don’t even know how (or why!).
When I officially started blogging publicly here on WordPress, I only had one goal, which I achieved. I get to share my thoughts, and that made me the happiest, really! And while that’s my one and only blogging goal, I think there are many things I’ve learned through blogging (and possibly more)! I’ve never thought that I would fall in love with design and development more than I already did when I came to this side of the internet! In fact, I never thought of improving my web design and development skills beyond the basics! In many ways, I learned (and am still learning) so much from blogging that I think sticking with it and writing my thoughts whenever an idea sparks is already a habit that is very hard to break!
My passions and interests change, and those are reflected on my blog, too. I kind of like that I have an archive of how my interest transitioned from before up until today (and perhaps in the future—the thought excites me!!) And those changes echoed my growth as a person, too! Sure, I can be a little immature in many ways, but I’m happy to see the evolution! And making it accessible through this blog is huge brownie points for me! Yeah, isn’t that convenient?
I think maybe I will still be the same person that I am now without blogging! BUT!!! I’m very happy that I tried this hobby and that it has become an integral part of my online activity! I’m not into (like really intooo) social media or anything; I couldn’t say I’m a writer because, as you know, my writing skills stink (obviously, but hey, this is just my informal way of speaking up my thoughts!!!) But my passion to write about things I love is there! And now that I’ve been given the avenue to speak up, I’m glad that it’s become a part of my life. I’m so happy that I became a blogger.
