Title: Torment
Author: Lauren Kate

Just finish Torment and just like the first book the cover was stunning. As for the book itself, I like it, not as much as Fallen though. Is it a pathetic whining if I said that there’s not enough of Cam in this book so that’s why I find some moments dragging (yes? haha). This book finally answers why I preferred Cam over Daniel, because I find him shallow and empty to be quite honest. I really don’t like his over protectiveness (when he’s not even there) to Luce and knowing he have other girls other than Luce is a definite minus point to me. Are they supposed to be madly in love (is it too long to wait for 17 years to meet (once again) your love of your life (or existence)? So why bother looking for someone else? Sorry but loyalty is major factor to me, especially when it comes to love. And all the kissing (it’s ok, they are lovers) but it felt so superficial to me. I feel like the only time Daniel proves his love to her through kissing, just physical. I know his “being away” is for her safety but man, like Luce I need to know what I’m about to face. Some girls don’t like to be the damsel in distress that is so overrated. So knowing that I can’t blame Luce to get attracted to other guys (coughs, Miles, coughs). And to top it all Miles is a nice guy. Who treated her nicely despite the whole “she and Daniel epic love story.” So I want him to have important part in the third book (and Cam please more Cam, this sicko is absolutely awesome, I like to read anything about him).

In this book everything is starting to take shape. Though I was expecting some mystery to unravel, I felt like it just added more questions. Only the shadows (or the announcer) have been explained. I still couldn’t figure out what Luce’s role in the war or if she really is just a mere “mortal”. So I’m looking forward to the third book – Passion.
