Hello, July! & June Happenings!
Entering second half of the year is simultaneously amazing and unnerving. 😯
If were to describe my blogging this June is that it was the exact opposite of May where special or feature posts were abundant compare to reviews. In fact, I still have two posts written down but didn’t publish it because well, lazy! When will I ever learn to balance this hobby?! Never?
June in a Nutshell
Me, my emotions, & these fictional characters., Some Filipino words to live by—,Unpopular Opinion Book Tag!, What is it like to be a shipper?, Seemingly impossible journey? , The girl standing in the blush of dawn. That Bookish Index!
I read less compare to last month *sighs* I’ll probably poured my guts on this post as to why. Though my GR challenge looks stellar (because I am deceivingly ahead of schedule) that is because I added manhua, manhwa on it (I still haven’t add some I already read because adding them manually is a pain, well it did skyrocket my ranking as GR librarian). 😆 My huge passion to precise classifications made me do it. I also couldn’t add them to my MAL and booklog accounts because well, I’m an elitist otaku trash. *sobs hard*

But here are the books I managed to read & reviewed:
- The Wrath and the Dawn by Katelyn Detweiler
- Immaculate by Renee Ahdieh
- The Leveller by Julia Durango (post-reading comment only)
- The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent
Other fandoms, passion, some RL & whatnots:
- June means classes started and now I have my hands full of taking care of my niece during the afternoons! *daps eyes with handkerchief*my little girl is so big now!
- Also went to see dad. I can’t believe it’s been two years since then. )Hard to celebrate father’s day without one.)
- Tokyo Ghoul (Volume 1) in English is officially out and even debuted number 1 on New York Times Best Sellers List. Y’all should, like, read it and fangirl with me because this series is awesome if I haven’t said it enough! (
while my copy of TG:re volume 3 is coming on its way). XD - Summer officially ended here but just starting to folks who live on the Northern Hemisphere! Anime series I was watching ended like Owari no Seraph and Kuroko no Basket (will watch later, broadcast was delayed!). But then I have three new series that I’m looking forward to (Aoharu x Kikanjuu, GOD EATER & Akagami no Shirayuki-hime) so there is that!
- I’m officially a historical junkie. I love reading graphic novels of East Asian origin (particularly Taiwanese and Chinese). Who would’ve thought I had it in me?! (will write a post about it soon!)
On repeat!
I decided to include music related thingy since I saw people posting their favorite songs, or the song they currently like. To make things different mine would be the top 5 most scrobbled (via last.fm) songs of the month!
[column-half-1]
- SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Gemie – X.U.
- ウルトラタワー – 希望の唄
- TK from 凛として時雨 – unravel (Acoustic version)
- TRUSTRICK – 未来形Answer
- BLUE ENCOUNT – DAY×DAY
I will never get sick of Unravel; it’s the theme song of my soul. also, thanks freepik for the icon. 😛
