This is my third attempt (and I’m pretty sure it’s not the last—at least name-wise) on rebranding, and only once did I wipe out my old post when I decided to change things up. I said this over and over again: this blog was originally a personal blog called Skye Station, then I turned it into a book blog and went by the name Aeropapers. And when I became an otaku again, I switched it and fused it with Kyaa (my now-defunct anime and manga blog), and Rainyink was born. And then here we are, with another name—Faiery, where my love for stories and whatnot all come together. Despite all the numerous reincarnations, I chose to keep my old posts.

Why is that, you ask? A big chunk of it is nostalgia, and the remaining percentage is because I worked hard on each post I published. There is a Tagalog word for it: panghihinayang. And while yes, some (a lot?) are questionable in quality, I just like to see my random, excessive ramblings continue to exist. I want to read ‘em from time to time! And to have a sort of archive of all my spattered opinions on things—so yeah, I love to keep them.

I will keep my old posts there, available to read! It’s a huge accomplishment for me to see all the time and effort I spent in blogging actually accessible!

But even with the number of changes and domain names I’ve already made, my blog didn’t completely stir away from the initial reason why I started to blog in the first place. I even think that I returned to my roots: now I also post personal things (take the ‘personal’ aspect with a grain of salt!), the bookish part, and well, yeah, I haven’t read books recently, but I’m still a super passionate reader! I still read. As a matter of fact, I read every day. I still talk about anime + manga, and now I’ve added webtoons to the mix! So I thought my blog was growing with each change I made!

So I think if ever I make changes again or rename the blog, I will keep my old posts still there, available to read! It’s a huge accomplishment for me to see all the time and effort I spent in blogging actually accessible! I don’t care if they looked cluttered or messy, but to me, they’re my children, born out of my mind and available in this space!
