I’m going to start this post with something ever so cliché: someone said that the only constant in this world is change! And that’s true in every life situation. There’s nothing in this world that doesn’t change! So roll those eyes when your so-called friends tell you to “not change.” Haha, JK only, but really, change isn’t specific. It can be for the better or for the worst! But change is necessary, and I understand the apprehension that involves the process! Don’t worry, those things are warranted—expected, but don’t be too cautious! Because unless you do it, you’ll never know what it is!

So Mitchii, what’s up with you and these trying-hard philosophical ideas? Nah, I’m just doing a quasi-profound segue ‘cos my topic is about changes as a blogger and why they shouldn’t scare you! You know (or if you didn’t know) that my blog was a book blog before (more like a book review blog, actually), but when my interest changed so did my content. And I lost followers (I understand that they signed up for the bookish content, not for my new interest). Admittedly, it’s kind of sad, but not really sad, that people left…  because, after weighing everything, I realized I’d be sadder if I held onto something I didn’t like anymore. I want to be honest about what I want to share. It’s so hard to keep up appearances. And I’m not the type of person who does that, so I let go! I changed! And I’m happy!

If your blog is more of a personal outlet like mine than one that is catered to a specific audience, it is so easy to reinvent your blog! There’s literally no one who will hold you! That’s why it was such an easy transition for me! I was thinking about changing directions; I was craving a new identity—one that would match up with my new interest! And the thoughts and ideas that were playing in my head were bursting! The feeling was great! There was joy in the process, and I got excited again! which before started to diminish because it felt like I was losing my place. I had no idea what to do! So in retrospect, I’m glad that I pushed through the changes that I was desperately yearning for!

Who knows, maybe I’ll change again? That’s the beauty of life, no? You just don’t know what’s up ahead. It can be worrying, but it’s kind of exciting! Life’s giving us variety! And just like that, I want to apply it to my blog. So don’t be surprised if I change again, K? That’s me! I’m fickle-minded! Ahahaha!!!

How about you? Have you ever thought of changing your blog? If you already have, what made you decide? Do you think it was the right decision? Tell me about it!
