It’s 2023, can you believe it? I still can’t even distinguish 2021 from 2022 and now we’re 3 years into the 21st century’s 20s! The events of the past 2-3 years were kinda all muddled up! Anyhoo, new year brings us new season of anime! It’s pretty tamer list compare to fall’s line-up (it was certainly a beast!), there’s no big series that I am really looking forward to (you know it is slated to air in spring and summer) but they do look fun if I say so myself!

I have Blue Lock, Boku no Hero Academia 6th Season, and Cool Doji Danshi as my fall leftovers! Quick recap of these three: Blue Lock was defo different from your average sports anime. They’re basically in a boot camp where they are told to hone their skills—specifically their striking skills. Where others emphasize sportsmanship and camaraderie, that wasn’t the case here, by you will still get to like the main players and their interactions with each other as they play/train in this boot camp! It strikes me (pun intended) that they highlight strikes or goals when football, at least in my observation, gives more importance to defense than other sports out there! Just fun tidbit there.

I don’t know why people are so confused about Boku no Hero Academia 6th Season, like have you not read the manga? The adaptation was pretty straightforward! Though in hindsight, the current events in the manga and the anime kinda overlap! So there was that!

Finally, Cool Doji Danshi, I watch this every two weeks because this is just an anime short! If you like fresh, no solid plot, just cute boys doing their own awkward things, you might enjoy this too!

Aren’t these boys the cutest?! <3 Gif from ffxvcaps!

OK, back to winter list, let me start with Bungou Stray Dogs 4th Season! I admit that I stopped reading the manga for quite some time now, so for the first time I’m watching this blind! No idea what’s happening now, but it does serve as a reference if I’m still going to pick it up or drop it? Let’s see. I always see Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi on manga updates and I dig this kind of josei/slice-of-life series a-la WotaKoi! I hope it’s as good as I thought! Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko! a 4-koma on Twitter that I read on and off (my favorite is still Mousou Telepathy), but I’m all for friends turned lovers, and while I like slow-burn, naive, teen romance, I’m more of the girl is the one who is slow on the uptake, but this will do! And finally, Tokyo Revengers: Seiya Kessen-hen which I’m still asking myself if it’s worth picking up despite my utter lack of enthusiasm when I watched the first season, perhaps I’m only in it for the lulz!
