Travel Log

Someone on Twitter said that with January being that long, you can now write a yearly recap, and true, I definitely agree! My January was jam-packed, it felt like I’d been everywhere because of the places I’d been to! Catching up on times that we weren’t allowed to go out and all the events came rushing in all at once!

I’ve been traveling a lot last month. I had both domestic and international travels! Finally gotten sun-kissed & dipped in that refreshing clear tropical waters after living in solitary for 2? or 3 years due to lockdowns and restrictions. We went to Batangas for the weekend beach gateway and at the same time visited a heritage town in Taal. This is all thanks to my older sister being such a fan of everything Filipino! We also had short travels in between just around the Metro, then after that we flew to Japan, my first international travel since 2020! We stayed there for a week—OK, it got extended for a day because what we thought was cute snow at first became a full-blown blizzard in a matter of minutes, and it made transportation all messed up! We were held up for 8 hours, imagine that! I’m gonna write about my trip in Japan soon. We went to Osaka, Kyoto, and a day trip to Nara (I’m now slowly updating instagram with scenic posts only). I was exhausted by the time we got home, and it still wasn’t over! Of course, missing the flight was super traumatic (fyi, that wasn’t the first time I missed our flight home, gaaah!) It will always be nerve-wracking and demoralizing! And expensive, so expensive!

So today, my first free Saturday in awhile, I went and cleaned up my things. Lots of boxes were left unattended. I also stored away my shoes, bag, and luggage that I used last month! My workspace was a chaotic mess so I took care of that as well! I also still need to send the jackets we used for dry cleaning! Yes, I have so much to do, but with all the activities we did last month, I think my body needs a month too to recover! But despite the muscle pain, my finances taking the brunt, I can confidently say that I’m happy with all the things I’ve done! Now it’s time to go back to real life, all the adulting things that I need to do *cries* and returning to my old routine!

With me getting back to my old routine, means updating this blog! I went and logged in to write this short update! But expect my travel logs to be filled up! Of course, some posts, too, that I’ve been procrastinating for months (hello, journal journey series) 🙂 *pushes sleeves* let’s do this!
