Journal Journey Snapshots. Part 4 ☕🧸💻 (circa 2021), still in pandemic edition!
This was my most ambitious attempt yet because, at least in 2018–2019, the two journals were spaced apart by months. But for these two, I made an impulsive decision to separate personal and hobby journals. I couldn’t even finish one—what made me think I could manage two? Clearly, I wasn’t thinking.

I already blogged about my ‘21 journals before. But for real, I was excited because I thought maybe 2021 would be better than 2020. Oh boy, did I hope so! Well, I was more diligent about writing in them than I was with my ‘20 journal. I was optimistic that I could handle this better since it was a weekly journal. But it wasn’t about the format—it was just me. I’m good at starting things, but only a handful of them become part of my routine (which is why I’m so happy I’ve been blogging for so many years).
I barely touched the hobbies journal, and honestly, I ended up using Notion for that anyway. So, it was just another sad attempt since I barely used it. I still keep all my journals tucked away in a box at home, but it’s kind of sad to see how underused they are.
In 2022, I mentioned in a blog entry saying I was quitting journaling forever, but of course, I couldn’t let it go. I compromised by starting tiny three-ring journal. It was small and easy to fill up… or so I thought! Next up, the final installment??? Or is it really?
