Life Lately

And that’s a wrap for February. Wow, I should say the month wasn’t the easiest (will share some details below). Yeah, it wasn’t the best month compared to January, where things were chill and the days just flew by nicely. This month, it was one thing after another, and I’m pretty much ending it feeling exhausted and just hoping—praying—for a good month ahead. Shall we start then?

And this was how my Feb went…

Life Lately

  • Sleepless & broken. So yeah, my insomnia came back with a vengeance. The last time this happened was nearly 8 years ago, but 2 weeks ago I went through about 4 nights of almost no sleep and 3 of them back-to-back! Grrr!!! It honestly filled me with so much anxiety, even wondering if I had forgotten how to sleep altogether! I was powering through the day with maybe a 2-hour nap and only about 2–3 hours of sleep per night. I was utterly exhausted that week! Thankfully, I was able to correct my schedule. Melatonin, calming tea, boring reads! It’s not perfect, but I’m getting around 5–6 hours now, which is better. I’m trying to improve, but alas, another hurdle—
  • The itchy throat that won’t go away. So yeah, when I finally got my sleep routine somewhat back on track, I developed this really bad dry, itchy throat. And the coughing started interrupting my already elusive sleep! I thought it was just a normal cold, but I’ve been coughing every few minutes for the past 4 days and it just wouldn’t go away. I tried some OTC meds, but nothing worked, so I ended up consulting a doctor and getting a prescription. I’m really praying that this will clear up soon. It’s still here, and now my right ear hurts too. It’s been one thing after another.
  • But there was celebration too. So yeah, we celebrated Lunar New Year with some Korean food (I know there was some feud between SEAblings and SK, but I gotta say I love their food). I was craving japchae and samgyeopsal, so we ordered takeout, and it was delicious! As for Valentine’s, it was just a normal Saturday weekend, but it was productive because my revamp is shaping up nicely—
  • That revamp may happen anytime. So yeah, I finished the design and I’m just planning little details here and there. I just want it to feel special. I made this current design back in the pandemic days around 2021? So it’s been quite a long time, and I’m craving more. It was supposed to accommodate my tl;dr era, but alas, this girl just doesn’t know how to shut up!

Nevertheless, I think there were good days and bad days overall. I just remember the debbie-downer moments more vividly because I’m such a pessimistic person, but I’m trying! Anxiety and all!

March Agenda

  • The new design saga continues. I’m obviously taking my sweet, sweet time. I don’t want to rush! I want things ready and good! Also, my computer time isn’t as flexible as it used to be. But I’m excited about the new revamp; I hope things go smoothly and perfectly according to plan.
  • Another side quest. So this one, I want to keep it low profile for now (or pretty much a secret). This has been a long-time project of mine that never really progressed because of all the irl commitments, but I’m squeezing some work in between my revamp.
  • Learn this new thing. Okay, another personal detail that I can’t really elaborate on, but I received news that something is getting decommissioned and will leave me learning the ropes. I’m such an anxious person, even though the deadline is still far ahead, I just can’t stop ruminating. But it’s okay to face things scared; sometimes that’s the only way to step forward.

And that’s it! Praying for a good, nice, comfortable, and solid 8-hour sleep ahead for March! 🌿🧺🌼
